What changes with one central hub?

Before

When each channel is managed separately

  • Stock is updated by hand in every dashboard, and the same item can sell twice
  • Price changes reach channels late
  • Orders are collected from different dashboards
  • Descriptions and images drift apart between channels

After

With Shopify at the centre

  • Stock flows from Shopify to every channel automatically
  • Channel-specific price rules are managed in one place
  • Marketplace orders arrive in Shopify
  • Product information comes from a single source

Integration steps

Channels go live one at a time, each with a test order.

  1. 1

    Channel and catalogue review

We agree which products sell on which channel and how categories map.

    Channel plan

  2. 2

    Product data preparation

GTIN, SKU, brand, category and required attributes are organised in Shopify as metafields.

    Clean product data

  3. 3

    Integration setup

The chosen app or service is connected, and category and attribute mappings are set.

    Connected channels

  4. 4

    Price and stock rules

Channel price differences, fee margins and stock buffers are defined.

    Rules table

  5. 5

    Testing and go-live

Test orders, cancellations and returns are run on every channel.

Avoid

Common problems with marketplace integrations

We check each of these during setup.

  1. 01The same item selling on two channels because no stock buffer was set
  2. 02Prices copied to every channel without accounting for marketplace fees
  3. 03Listings rejected because required attributes or GTINs are missing
  4. 04Variants (size, colour) mapping differently between channels
  5. 05Returns and cancellations not flowing back into Shopify stock
  6. 06Campaign prices changed by hand and then forgotten

Orders in Shopify, reporting in one place

When marketplace orders arrive in Shopify tagged by channel, fulfilment, invoicing and reporting run through one flow.

  • Orders tagged by channel
  • One fulfilment process with your shipping setup
  • Accounting and invoicing data from one source
  • Sales reports by channel

Integration methods

The right method depends on catalogue size, number of channels and order volume.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find the answer you're looking for? Get in touch directly.

Does Shopify connect to Amazon directly?

Shopify doesn't include a built-in Amazon sales channel for all regions, so the connection is made through Shopify App Store apps or middleware services. We recommend one based on your catalogue and order volume.

Can I charge different prices on a marketplace?

Yes. Channel price rules let you build marketplace fees into the price, or run campaign prices on selected channels only.

Will I lose my existing marketplace listings and reviews?

No. The integration connects to your existing seller account, and products are matched by GTIN or SKU, so your ratings and reviews stay in place.

Where are orders managed?

Depending on the setup, marketplace orders come into Shopify and are fulfilled from there. Some channels still require order confirmation in their own dashboard.

Who do I pay for the integration app?

App or service subscriptions are paid directly to the provider. We handle setup, mapping and testing.
