Word to HTML converter

Choose your Word document and get clean HTML that keeps headings, lists, tables and links. Your file never leaves your browser.

Convert Word files to clean HTML

Text copied and pasted from Word often comes with unnecessary style code, empty tags and font definitions. That makes your page heavier and breaks your store theme's look. The converter keeps your document's structure (headings, bold and italic text, lists, tables, links) and strips out the unnecessary formatting.

Use cases

  • Shopify product and collection descriptions
  • Blog posts and guides
  • About, FAQ, returns and policy pages
  • Email newsletters and campaign copy

Why clean HTML matters

Search engines understand content through its heading structure. When h2 and h3 headings and lists are used properly, your page is easier to understand for both Google and AI search.

For lawful use only; publishing copyrighted content without permission is the user's responsibility.

Is my file uploaded to your server?

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser; your Word file and its content are never sent to any server.

Which file types are supported?

The .docx format from Word 2007 onwards is supported. Open an older .doc file in Word, choose "Save As → .docx", then convert it.

Are images converted too?

Images in the document are embedded in the HTML (base64). When moving content to Shopify or WordPress, uploading images to the media library separately and swapping the links gives you a faster page; use the "Remove images" option for that.

How do I use the HTML in Shopify?

In the product, collection, page or blog post editor, click "Show HTML" (<>) and paste the code. Headings, lists, tables and links are kept.
